Ms. Yodit Alemu Is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned her B.A. in Psychology from Langston University in Langston, OK, and her M.A. from Argosy University of Atlanta in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Ms. Alemu has worked in the field of counseling for over 10 years assisting with at risk youth, children in foster care, reunification with families, and giving support to culturally diverse communities. Ms. Alemu’s theoretical orientation is from the Adlerian perspective, asking questions to better understand the root of a client’s stressors, triggers, history of trauma, and family dynamic growing up to better support each individual client’s experience.

Ms. Alemu primarily works with children, adolescents, and young adults transitioning to adulthood. Ms. Alemu utilizes integrated approaches to strengthen families based on each family's individual needs. Ms. Alemu has had the most success within her career with giving support to clients dealing with depression, suicidal ideation, and self-harming behaviors. Her focus is to instill hope in every client with compassion and earned trust from her clientele.
